Aerospace Quality Management Systems — Built for Flight-Critical Quality
AS9100 is the quality management standard for aerospace, space, and defense organizations. Built on ISO 9001 with critical aerospace additions, it's required to supply Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, NASA, and every major prime contractor. Our team brings direct experience from inside these organizations — we know what auditors look for because we've been the auditors.
Why AS9100 Rev D Matters
In aerospace, quality isn't a differentiator — it's a license to operate. A single nonconforming part can ground a fleet, delay a launch, or endanger lives. AS9100 Rev D goes well beyond ISO 9001, adding aerospace-specific requirements for product safety, configuration management, counterfeit parts prevention, risk management, and special process controls. The standard also requires OASIS database registration, making your certification visible to every prime contractor and OEM globally. Getting certified isn't enough — you need a system that actually works on the shop floor. We've seen too many facilities certified by other firms where the documentation doesn't match reality. Every non-conformance we find in those facilities is a liability that their consultant missed.

Frequently Asked Questions — AS9100 Rev D
What's the difference between AS9100 and ISO 9001?
AS9100 includes ALL ISO 9001 requirements plus aerospace-specific additions: product safety, configuration management, counterfeit parts prevention, First Article Inspection, special process controls, risk management, and OASIS registration. It's approximately 30% more requirements than ISO 9001.
Do we need AS9100 or AS9120?
AS9100 is for organizations that design and/or manufacture aerospace products. AS9120 is for aerospace distributors and stockists. If you make parts, you need AS9100. If you distribute/stock parts, you need AS9120. We implement both.
How long does AS9100 certification take?
Typically 6-12 months. Organizations already certified to ISO 9001 can leverage their existing QMS and focus on the aerospace additions, potentially reducing timeline to 4-6 months.
What is the OASIS database?
OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) is the global database of AS9100-certified organizations. When you achieve certification, your CB registers you in OASIS, making your certification visible to all aerospace buyers worldwide. It's your ticket to the global aerospace supply chain.
Can you help with Nadcap accreditation?
Yes. While Nadcap is a separate program from AS9100, we help organizations align their special process controls with both AS9100 and Nadcap requirements for welding, heat treating, NDT, surface treatment, and other special processes.
